Choreographer
Brandon Lee Alley (he/him) is a Vancouver-based dance artist, choreographer, musician, and Co-Artistic Director of Dance//Novella. He is currently an artist with Kidd Pivot and previously spent seven seasons with Ballet BC. Throughout his performance career, Brandon has worked with internationally renowned choreographers including Crystal Pite, William Forsythe, Sharon Eyal, Johan Inger, Ohad Naharin, and Medhi Walerski, performing on stages across Canada and internationally.
In 2019, Brandon co-founded Dance//Novella with Racheal Prince, establishing a collaborative practice rooted in physicality, theatricality, interdisciplinary experimentation, and play. Together, they have created works presented through the Vancouver International Dance Festival, Dancing on the Edge, The Dance Centre, The Polygon Gallery, Chutzpah! Festival, and SOUND OFF, alongside commissions from Alberta Ballet and SALT Contemporary Dance.
Brandon is also an electronic musician and sound designer, creating original scores and sonic environments for live performance. His multidisciplinary practice brings movement, sound, character, and theatrical world-building into close conversation.

Assistant Choreographer
Racheal Prince (she/her) is a Vancouver-based choreographer, dance artist, and Co-Artistic Director of Dance//Novella. Following four seasons with Alberta Ballet, she joined Ballet BC, where she performed for twelve seasons and toured nationally and internationally in works by choreographers including William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Jorma Elo, Sharon Eyal, and Ohad Naharin. She later served as Ballet BC’s Assistant Rehearsal Director.
In 2019, Racheal co-founded Dance//Novella with Brandon Lee Alley, developing a collaborative choreographic practice that brings together contemporary dance, theatre, interdisciplinary design, and deeply physical performance. Their work has been presented across Canada through festivals, theatres, galleries, and dance organizations, alongside commissions from Alberta Ballet and SALT Contemporary Dance.
Racheal’s artistic practice spans choreography, performance, rehearsal direction, mentorship, and the development of new work. Central to her approach is a curiosity for the expressive possibilities of the body and the relationships that emerge between movement, character, design, and theatricality.

Connor McLeary was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and is currently based in Vancouver. Connor began his dance training at North Shore Academy of Dancing at age six. In his early teens, he attended Pro Arte Dance’s training program, and he trained with Beverly Bagg and Stephana Arnold, then later went on to attend the Arts Umbrella’s Post Graduate Dance Program. In his second year at the Arts Umbrella Post Graduate Program, Connor was invited to join the Annex Ballet BC program under the direction of Artemis Gordon and Medhi Walerski. Connor Joined Ballet Edmonton in 2022 under the direction of Wen Wei Wang, and was with the company for two seasons. Connor has had the privilege of performing works by world-renowned choreographers such as Crystal Pite, Medhi Walerski, Dorotea Saykaly, Victor Quijada, Ethan Colangelo, Shay Kuebler, Wen Wei Wang, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Sharon Eyal and Marco Goecke. Connor was also given the opportunity to create “A Figures Edge” on Ballet Edmonton during the 2023/24 season, and recently has had the honour of creating and performing in “will you still be there when I open my eyes” for the 11th series of Belle Spirales Dance Deck. Connor is currently freelancing in Vancouver and has started exploring other post secondary programs affiliated within the arts.

Nevan Boyden (He/Him) was born in Vancouver, BC, where he trained in the Arts Umbrella Dance Program from the age of five. In 2021, Nevan was accepted into the Arts Umbrella Post Secondary Program, where he was invited to join the Ballet BC Annex program under the direction of Artemis Gordon and Medhi Walerski. Here, Nevan had the opportunity to perform works by choreographers such as Johan Inger, William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Medhi Walerski, Dance Novella, and Rebecca Margolick among others. From 2024 - 2026, Nevan danced with Ballet Edmonton under the direction of Kirsten Wicklund. In October 2025, he was given the opportunity to create a new work, "Open Door Policy", with the mentorship of Fernando Magadan. Nevan is excited to be dancing back home in Vancouver for this season.
