ABOUT
MEN IN DANCE is seeking proposals for its 15th Anniversary Festival: In the Flesh | In the Frame, a mixed format festival with in-person performances September 30 to October 2, 2022 (Program 1) at the Erickson Theatre on Capitol Hill in Seattle* and a virtual stream October 7 to 9, 2022 (Program 2) accessible via web.
Who should apply
We welcome choreographers of all gender expressions but all performers must be male-identifying. Submitted pieces must be no longer than 7 minutes in length.
Interested parties may apply for either or both weekends. Should you apply for both, please submit separate applications and indicate your preference of weekend. Only one piece per choreographer will be accepted but indicated preferences will be considered in our selection process.
COMPENSATION
Choreographers for both weekends will be paid a stipend of at least $500; dancers for the in-person weekend (Program 1) will be paid at least $150 per person for their time in theatre.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Weekend 1
Proposal of Intended Work - a short description of your proposed work.
Please include number of dancers and their names (if known).
Work Samples - 1-3 video links and a brief description for each video.
Videos should be at least 3 minutes and unedited.
Choreographer’s Resume or CV - please include references & phone nos.
Headshot and Short Bio (one or two paragraphs)
Weekend 2 (Virtual) Application Requirements
Proposal of Intended Work - a short description of your proposed work.
Please include number of dancers and their names (if known).
Technical specifications - a description of how filming and editing will be conceptualized and executed (equipment, location, etc). Please note we will be streaming at 29.97fps at 1080p resolution.
Work Samples - 1-3 video links and a brief description for each video.
Videos should be at least 3 minutes in length. Please submit dance films if possible.
Choreographer’s Resume or CV - please include references & phone nos.
Headshot and Short Bio (one or two paragraphs)
