Chris Bell (any/all) holds an MFA (Case Western Reserve) and BS (Lamar) in dance and because he likes camping and the beach, a BS in Geology. He currently makes work with the feath3r theory, a dance/theater/media company under the direction of Raja Feather Kelly who he also works with as an associate choreographer on the musicals Eighty-Sixed, and the upcoming Teeth by Anna K. Jacobs and Michael R. Jackson. Chris recently choreographed Jelly’s Last Jam at Long Wharf Theater and will perform in the upcoming Death, Loneliness, and The Absolute Future ofthe Multiverse or how to cover the sun with mud (NYU Skirball 2024)

Wednesday (NY Live Arts), The Kill One Race (Playwrights Horizons), The Met Gala, and Mute Swan a one 'demi-god' show in collaboration with Theater in Quarantine written by Pulitzer-prize finalist Madeleine George. He is on faculty at The National Theater Institute at The Eugene O'Neill Center, works in Education for Roundabout Theatre Co., and does teaching artist work for Marquis Studios and TADA! Youth Theaters. His company chrisbelldances (CBD) has presented work nationally including presentations at Ohio Dance Festival and The Luminaria Arts Festival and across NYC including evening length works at Dixon Place, Gibney Dance Center and most recently Triskelion Arts. CBD is based in Queens and is an inaugural member company of the Queensboro Dance Festival, an organization which presents free and low-cost performances in community spaces and theaters across Queens County. CBD was the first dance company in residence at the Cherry Grove Community House and Theater in Cherry Grove, Fire Island, America’s oldest continuously operating LGBTQIA+ summer theater.

Performer
AJ Guevara (he/him) earned his BFA in Dance & Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University, with additional training from the Accademia dell’ Arte (Arezzo, Italy), and American Dance Festival Since then, he’s performed the works of Bill T. Jones, Robert Deckers, chrisbelldances, Christian von Howard, Jodi Melnick, Shen Wei Dance Arts, Eryc Taylor, Joshua L. Peugh, Jennifer Archibald, and Arthur Pita, among others. His work with Company|E, in partnership with the US State Department, has allowed him to serve as an Artistic Diplomat for Cultural Exchange-leading to tours in Israel, Cuba, England, Uruguay, Palestine, Madagascar as well as multiple engagements at the Kennedy Center. His work with Gibney’s 'Hands Are For Holding' program, ETD Outreach, and AXIS Dance Company, has shaped his journey as a dedicated advocate for social justice, artistic equity, and community action. AJ is currently a performer and educator with AXIS Dance Company, a physically-integrated company changing the face of dance through inclusive practices.
