Thank you for joining us for the 2025 MEN IN DANCE Choreographers Showcase!
As this is a Community Education Event we have outlined a Community Agreement as follows:

Your Role

Your work is integral to the success of the show, and you are as much a part of it as the pieces you have witnessed.

We would like the choreographers to hear your impressions of their work in the form of written feedback (write as if you were speaking to a friend).

Your Feedback

Each one of you will receive 5 colored cards: one to represent each choreographer on this evening’s program. After each piece in the program we will bring up the house lights so that you may write down comments/reflections on what you just saw.

  • white/purple - Marlo Martin

  • green - Robbi A. Moore

  • yelow - Madeline Max Roman

  • blue - Will Jessup

  • pink - Derek Crescenti

Your Criteria

CRAFT:
How successful was the piece for you? Some examples:

  • Did you think that the piece had a good beginning, middle and end?

  • Did you think that the movement vocabulary and the sound score worked well together?

  • Were there any particular technical aspects you did or did not enkjoy?

We would like to encourage more than “I liked it” or “I didn’t like it”. The more articulate you can be, the better

CREATIVE CONTENT:
How did the piece affect you as an audience member? Some considerations:

  • Did it take you on a journey? Did you think it had a message?

  • Did you resonate with it? Was it thought provoking? Were you intrigued because it had conflict or were you entertained because it had pure harmony?

  • How did it make you feel?

Use big words but write them clearly, as will collect your cardsduring intermission.

Your Contribution

In ACT II we may select a card or two of color and its comments will be read out loud to be used as part of our discussion. You may keep your feedback anonymous or sign your card in case the choreographers may want to hear more details from you after the show.

If you wish to offer a success score from 1 to 10, please feel free to do so.

Choreographers will receive all of their feedback cards for their artistic growth and development at the end of each show.
